RIDERS USA CAUTIONS ARIZONA MEMBERS OF CONGRESS
TEMPE, ARIZONA – RidersUSA will host a press conference to unveil the locations of four new billboards, marking the second phase of their public awareness campaign. The initiative aims to educate the public about the potential consequences for House members who support legislation similar to the immigration reform bill proposed by Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake15. The campaign asserts that any attempt to normalize the legal status of undocumented immigrants is tantamount to amnesty, potentially leading to the legitimization of nearly 33 million foreign workers. RidersUSA argues that such policies do not serve the interests of over 20 million unemployed or underemployed Americans seeking work2. Through these billboards, RidersUSA intends to draw attention to all Arizona members of Congress and the general public regarding any legislative efforts that echo the policies of the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA)5. The organization contends that these policies failed to address the issue of illegal immigration effectively.
